First, here is what I have been knitting for the past couple of days. I raided the stash and knitted the blue hat from GGH Merano wool. The pink hat is Magic Garden Buttons. The socks to be are Fluted Banister toddler size, from the vintage Pomfret. These are for charity, and for Knit Unto Others. I also packed up two boxes of yarn to donate to a nearby chapter of Project Linus. Didn’t seem to make much of a dent in the stash, though.
I also got a package from Amazon, with these books. I love the Selbu mittens in the mittens book. The other is a fiction book.

There’s an error page for the Selbu mittens, I just read about it. Carie from the Norwegian Knits-Along has a link you may want to read if you’re interested in making those!
The hats look so good. It’s it fun and quick to knit them up and know someone will have a warm head and a happy heart this winter?
That thumb gusset gave me fits, too. (I wrote about it in my August 31 post: http://woolyheaded.blogspot.com/2005_08_01_woolyheaded_archive.html.)
The finished mittens are lovely, though, and well worth the effort. What colors are you thinking of making yours?
Oh, I forgot to add that there is no official errata page for the Selbu mittens. The link MJ mentions contains the corrections, although I still had to do a bit of figuring to make it work (see the link I gave you below). I emailed Interweave about the problem, but never got a response.
I am so sorry to be filling your comments, but the link doesn’t seem to work. Try this:
