Socking Along

Leaves1_1I finished the first upside down Falling Leaves. I call it that because I am following a reversed chart for the pattern in Knitty, which was toe up. I just couldn’t get the short rows done without holes. I decided that I would just do my usual cuff down thing, and use the design that attracted me to the pattern for my Fleece Artist Japanese Maple yarn. I am using a size 0 addi, the sharp point of which is inexorably drawn over and over  to a small crack in my index finger. I put liquid bandage on it, so I don’t want to put lotion on it. Sigh…Anyway, it has taken me almost a month to finish one sock. I cast on and started the second one last night. I got the Fiber Trends felted birdhouse ornament pattern, so I am ready to knit one now! I was counting up my UFOs the other day. I have a Kristina bag, two baby sweaters,  two socks, Snow Flowers mitten, Meadow Flowers shawl… Now DH asked for a tea cozy. I have offered to teach him to knit.
