Resistance is Futile

Well, the other day I was wearing my Noro Kureyon vest in color 40. I looked at the colors in the bathroom mirror and I thought that it sure would be nice to have really matching socks. So I found… drum roll please… Noro Kureyon  Sock yarn in color 40, posing here on a pile of papers on my desk. The cell phone camera does OK at times. Now what sock pattern should I use?

  1. Whatever you pick, it will be stunning.
I thought of something mitered immediately, but I’ve never tried it so you really can’t trust my judgement here.

  2. “Petting Phase”…very funny, but true. Ok, pattern. I love my Favorite Socks book & any pattern in there would be good. I like lace patterns for self-striping yarns & I’d recommend Embossed Leaves socks from the book. Another good pattern is the Monkey Sock from Knitty. I am making those right now & they really showcase a handpaint yarn.

  3. Oh that’s pretty. Yes, my color way is 95. That is the only one I have yet. Wanted to knit with it before I buy anymore. So far, I’m a big fan.

  4. Maybe too late, but may I suggest you use an entrelac pattern. I did and the results are breathtaking. It looks like you did much more work than you actually did. Even very advanced knitters are impressed!
