In Memory of Muffin

The daffodils are blooming, despite Muffin pouncing on them and shredding the leaves. We lost Muffin Saturday, after what the vets said was a bad reaction to worm meds  We are not having good luck with dogs lately. DH and I are heartbroken. It is a gorgeous day, and I have shed a ridiculous amount of tears for a puppy I knew three weeks.

  1. I am so sorry for your loss. It doesn’t matter if you’ve known an animal 3 hours, 3 weeks, or years, their love is so pure that it takes hold immediately.
Don’t feel silly for crying, I’m crying and I never even held or pet Muffin.

  2. Poor Muffin! That happened so, so quickly! Just think what a great 3 weeks she had, though, considering she’d been abandoned in a box in the freezing cold … you made her warm and loved.
    I’m just so, so sorry….

  3. Nature has a funny way of responding to grief.
I like to think that the daffodils are surviving in order to celebrate muffin’s life.
Heaven must have needed an adorable puppy angel.

  4. I’m so sorry about Muffin. It’s all so very sad. I will be sure to think of her often as my daffodils start bloom. Hugs to your family, with special hugs for Cookie.

  5. I’m sorry to hear about your loss. Know that you gave Muffin a wonderful 3 weeks in this world. It’s amazing how animals can touch our hearts in such a short amount of time.

  6. I’m sooooo sorry to hear about Muffin. I’m very sad for you and your husband. You are heros for saving her from that cold box in the road to give her a great home with you and Cookie. I loved seeing her cute face when I checked in and was eager to see her grow up. Please don’t give up on being great dog parents. You have a lot of love to give.

  7. *snugs* Deepest sympathies on the loss of Muffin. It doesn’t matter how long we have our animal companions, once we choose them, they have our hearts forever.
